Raymond I. Rector

Raymond obtained his bachelor's degree at Butler University, majoring in Economics and Accounting. He is an avid rower and as part of Butler Rowing he helped set a new mixed heavyweight record by rowing for 30 continuous hours to raise money for the Semper Fi Fund. He attended the University of Iowa College of Law, graduating in May 2021. During law school, Raymond externed with the Northern District of West Virginia, which began his interest in working with the judicial system.
After being admitted to the Iowa Bar, Raymond served as a law clerk of the First Judicial Branch of Iowa. A year later, Raymond began working for a Chicago defense firm and was admitted to the Illinois Bar. At Schwartz Gilligan, he concentrates his practice on personal injury defense litigation and appellate practice.
