We actively seek to recruit, hire, and retain attorneys and staff with a variety of talents, backgrounds, experiences, and personal characteristics, including, but not limited to, race, color, sex, gender, ethnicity, national origin, religion, socioeconomic background, sexual orientation, and disability. The firm's focus on promoting diversity strives to reflect the clients and community we serve.
Our Statement in Action
The firm supports its Diversity Committee, which is comprised of partners and associates of varying backgrounds. Through the Diversity Committee, the firm promotes and reflects the values of the firm, its clients, and the community. Schwartz Gilligan sponsors events for diverse bar associations and promotes membership in those organizations by reimbursing attorneys for their membership dues. Some of the organizations to which our attorneys belong include the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago, and the Chicago Bar Association.
