Mark A. Huske
Associate
Mark has been licensed to practice law since 1999, when he graduated from the John Marshall Law School, cum laude, and was elected to membership in the Order of John Marshall. He was a staff editor for the John Marshall Journal of Computer and Information Law and participated in the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition. He has an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Illinois. Mr. Huske began his legal career as part of the lead counsel representing distributors of firearms in nationwide products liability/nuisance litigation against the firearms industry and helped defeat this industry-wide lawsuit.
For the past 15 years, he has concentrated his practice exclusively on representing insurance companies and risk pools and their insureds in subrogation, and bodily injury claims arising from transportation, construction, pharmaceutical and premises liability often involving catastrophic injuries. He has successfully taken several jury and non-jury trials to verdict with impressive results. He has taken hundreds of cases to arbitration and mediation with equally successful outcomes. He has handled and participated in over 1,000 depositions, including those of experts in the fields of medicine, construction liability, crash reconstruction and economics. He also has devoted a large part of his practice to defending municipal entities for injuries occurring on park district or municipal property. Additionally, he has developed a niche for defending golf courses and property owners involved in golf course liability cases.
When he is not practicing law, he enjoys playing golf, playing the drums, snowmobiling, and wake surfing. He currently resides in Glen Ellyn with his wife, and three children.
