Joshua J. Muench

Managing Partner - Naperville Office

Josh has practiced law since 2009, after graduating from Loyola University Chicago School of Law with honors. His practice is focused primarily on transportation, premises, and product liability, often involving catastrophic injuries. He is experienced with every phase of litigation from beginning to end, and has defended cases in nearly every county in Illinois. He is an experienced trial attorney having handled dozens of jury and non-jury trials in numerous Illinois counties with excellent results. He also assists our insurance coverage group, and consistently obtains favorable trial results on matters involving coverage and bad faith.

From 2015 to 2023, Josh was named an Illinois Rising Star, an honor reserved for the top 2.5% of attorneys under age 40.

During law school, he was a senior member of the Loyola Law Journal, and an oralist for Loyola's 2008 National Moot Court team. He also received the CALI award in Advocacy and in Criminal Procedure, in recognition of being the highest scoring student in his class. In 2008, he worked as a judicial extern for Judge Ronald Guzman of the United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois.

Josh is married to his college sweetheart, Sarah, with whom he has three kids: Mia, Mercy and Judah.
